Goal: The participant will be able to act as a partner, leader, and resource person to develop community health promotion/education programs related to the social determinants of health to help achieve the nation’s Healthy People goals and objectives.

Objectives: Participants will be able to provide expert assistance to:

• Identify public health priorities to help individuals, organizations, and communities across the United States improve health and well-being.
• Describe the five domains and conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect a wide range of health, function, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks.
• Determine, for the populations with which you work, which national objectives related to the social determinants of health highlight how personal, social, economic, and environmental factors can impact health.
• Promote Healthy People 2030 in your work.
